While in SOHO, I saw the most outrageous tropical-esque earrings hanging from a woman’s ears. I quickly jolted to her and asked where she got her earrings. These wonderful parrot earrings weren’t void of color and were completed with hanging tassels towards the end.

According to Elle’s August issue, Colombian designers have been emerging within the last few seasons due to their second-ever FW. Their designs are always colorful and eye-catching, so there’s no surprise that Colombian designers are creating beautiful statement earrings.

Mercedes Salazar is being sold at fashion forward retailers such as Net-A-Porter, Revolve and M’ODA ‘OPERANDI. Her jewelry is loved by the masses because of it’s intricate designs using colorful threads and tassels. She loves using parrots, insects, flowers, and geometrical designs in her jewelry.

Mercedes Salazar is surely making waves in the fashion industry since they collaborated with Carolina Herrera Resort 2018 collection. The website said it was, “inspired by the exuberance of flowers found in the gardens of La Vega, a property belonging to the Herrera family in Venezuela.” As you can see, this company is very true to there vibrant culture. Also, they partnered up with Manish Arora for their Spring 2019 collection and you can see each of their looks were completed with Mercedes Salazar accessories.
